My Story
In September 2024, a team from Southend-on-Sea City Council will be joining other Public Sector Teams, and Private sector partners, to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. The 2024 Challenge, will see teams climb the Yorkshire Three Peaks - Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough - all in the space of 12 hours. Teams will be undertaking the challenge independently as their organisations and collaborating to raise money together for Cancer Research UK. The team from Southend council will include Alan Richards, Simon Ford, Glyn Halksworth, Krishna Ramkhalewon, Tim Holland and Andrew Brown and Neil Hoskins, all of whom have been training hard and have their own personal motivations to be fundraising through this great challenge.
